ABOUT BALAJI SOMALARAJU
As a construction management intern at iBuild Building Solutions, I collaborate with the project management team to deliver innovative and sustainable kit homes to clients across Australia. I use Revit and Lumion to model and render 2D floor plans into structural 3D finishes, and CostX to perform quantity and cost take-offs. I also conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) for built projects using site report and ensure the compliance of the kit with the Australian Building Code. I am currently pursuing my master\'s degree in construction management at the University of Adelaide, where I am gaining advanced knowledge and skills in planning and scheduling, risk management, contracts and procurement, and sustainability. I have a bachelor\'s degree in civil engineering from VIT Vellore Institute of Technology, and I have completed multiple certifications in SketchUp, Vray, Primavera P6, and Autodesk Revit. My goal is to become a project manager in the construction industry, where I can apply my expertise in BIM modeling and cost estimation to deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions to clients. I am passionate about innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, and I enjoy working with diverse and collaborative teams.
