About B. Arneson

My work is rooted in a deep sense of care and commitment to community. I currently serve as Director of the Arms Trade & Militarization Program at the World Peace Foundation (WPF), drawing on over a decade of experience in grassroots organizing. In addition, I am Co-Research Coordinator for the Corruption Tracker. Beyond addressing the impacts of the arms trade, I contribute as a researcher to WPF’s Mass Incarceration program. I lead a collaborative research project with the Transformational Prison Project (TPP) that evaluates the role of restorative justice in the reentry process. I am also contributing to a forthcoming book on the “Criminalization of Care,” developed in partnership with WPF and Colby College colleagues. In addition to my research, I teach undergraduate courses through the Tufts University Prison Initiative of Tisch College (TUPIT). Lastly, I serve on TPP’s Scientific Advisory Board, where I help ensure that TPP’s use of data and evidence is intentional, principled, and fully aligned with the mission of transformative justice.
