ABOUT ASTRID NIENABER
I have been in the Freight and Forwarding industry for more than 20 years. I have been accepted to study my Masters Degree: MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management. I have experience in both Ocean and Airfreight, handling imports and exports. Specializing in Pharmaceuticals, including all aspects of the cold chain system. In my years of experience I have also handled Automotive as well as general cargo. Due to my experience, I was head hunted by a previous employer, for a new position created - Pricing Solutions Engineer - to create and maintain the Pharma Branch rate data base. This involved, negotiating rates with various stake holders internally and externally. My function also included quoting for new and current business, and discussing the correct mode and solution, to get the orders shipped out to meet their in plant dates. Providing the operations team, with the information and guidance on how to handle the file.
