ABOUT ASHLEE SMITH

Storytelling is at the Heart of my ten-year career at Southwest Airlines. As a Recruitment Marketing Consultant, I lead a project team focused on living out our Employer Brand and caring for Candidates as they pursue a career with Heart. Before shifting to Talent Acquisition, I spent seven years capturing Employee stories as a videographer and photographer in Communications and Outreach and a year hearing and responding to our Customers\' stories in Customer Relations (now Customer Experience). I’m a Diversity Council alumna and passionate about amplifying Employee perspectives throughout my work. Prior to working at Southwest, I slugged to DC and supported government communication and outreach initiatives at the FCC, USDA, and Smithsonian. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Video Studies from George Mason University and live in Fort Worth, Texas with my husband and Coheart, Baron, and three-year-old son, Max. I also own and operate Petite Fleur, an urban farm and floral art studio in Fort Worth with a vision to bring more locally grown flowers to our community. You can find me in the garden.
