ABOUT ARVIN KUMAR

I am a Project Manager specializing in roadwork\'s, Hard park facilities and Stormwater which i have been doing for over 30 years.I love to build great teams to deliver projects with a team of internal colleagues and contractors and working with clients and consultants to get best results for the project.I have extensive NZ experience doing everything civil construction from design thru construction to maintenance.I have managed works constructing new civil infrastructure amd maintenance of roads and related infrastructure including pavements using the traditional granular aggregates, lime and cement and foam stabilization, cement modified base course concrete pavements and done surfacing renewal work from preseal to seal to AC renewals and rehab. In NZ I have also managed hard civil structures involving drainage,traffic lights,streetlights,footpath, parks,safety works as detailed in my experience sectionI also came to NZ with 15 years experience in the civil construction field from 1989 to 2005 having started as cadet in ministry of works and leaving Fiji as works Manager for Lautoka City Council working on some notable roading projects including construction of a 28km of new highway including 23 bridges where I was technical manager for Pangaia Construction, I was also Project manager for the construction of the Sugar city mall which is the largest building to that date in Lautoka which was a council project I have worked in NZ on works on roads ranging from minor rural roads to working in the CBD of Auckland on Queens St to working on Motorways and involved pavement upgrades, drainage, hard and soft landscape including the pilot project for Otahuhu town upgrade project.I have also done a number of park upgrade works involving play fields, roading and car parks, lighting and both soft and hard Landscape works.I have worked on rail related projects building park and ride facilities including hard stand areas,lighting,retaining structures, rain garden,landscaping.I have also done major stormwater pipe upgrade works in challenging environment.
