ABOUT DIEGO GARCÍA FERNÁNDEZ

Diego García is an Architect and Urban Planner with over 13 years of experience, specializing in master planning, placemaking, urban and architectural design, transit-oriented development (DOT), project management, and urban and architectural regulations. He holds a Master\'s degree in Urbanism from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona TECH) and is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.Diego has played a pivotal role in numerous impactful projects, including four master plans for coffee estates near Antigua Guatemala, each spanning over 70 hectares, two expansive master plans in the southern Metropolitan Area of Guatemala spanning over hectares, two urban improvement projects with a Transit-Oriented Development (DOT) focus in Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro, a pre-feasibility study for the Chapultepec cable car, the Master Plan for the CETRAM Constitución de 1917, regulatory engineering and project review for two towers exceeding 35 levels and square meters of construction area, as well as regulatory engineering and project review for a museum within a historically designated property.Diego\'s profound expertise and diverse accomplishments reflect his commitment to shaping dynamic urban environments that seamlessly blend architectural ingenuity, sustainable development, and transformative urban planning solutions.
