With a decade of experience in transport planning, cross-border trade facilitation, and infrastructure strategy in South Asia, Arka Kanungo brings a strong track record of shaping policy, enabling regional cooperation, and delivering complex transport initiatives. He holds a Masters in Transport Planning (specialization in Transport Economics and Management) from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and currently serves as Strategy Consultant for Transport and Trade Facilitation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), supporting the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. In this role, he has led strategic efforts under the BBIN Motor Vehicle Agreement and contributed to India’s international cooperation with platforms such as UNESCAP, BIMSTEC, SCO, SASEC, and BRICS.Arka’s expertise spans both sovereign and non-sovereign operations, investment project structuring, business case development, and mobilization of private sector capital with a focus on sustainable infrastructure and regional connectivity.
