I build the engineering organizations and platforms that turn digital strategy into shipped product.At Gridspertise (Enel Group), I lead Software, Architecture & Technology — a practice of 20+ engineers across Italy, Finland, and the Netherlands delivering the digital backbone of our Business platform. My teams own the full stack: Architecture, engineering practice, Data & AI, Edge/OT, Internal Developer Platform, and the CI/CD infrastructure that product teams ship on.What I actually do every day: → Architect business platforms, not just software. I designed a composable, modular platform serving different product modules — → Design the Developer Platform with a Backstage-powered developer portal, OpenShift/ArgoCD pipelines, and Terraform IaC — cutting new-team onboarding from months to days. → Make AI a delivery multiplier. I led GenAI-in-SDLC initiative using GitHub Copilot that produced a governed agentic prototype in 4 weeks with zero human-written code → Drive decisions, not slide decks. My operating model is architect-as-decision-maker: fitness functions, ADRs, Strangler Fig migration, Team Topologies. Every architecture choice traces to a measurable business outcome. → Manage the economics. I support and own CAPEX/OPEX planning, vendor negotiations, FinOps across multiple AWS accounts, and workforce strategy for a team that is 75%+ external — turning cost pressure into a restructuring opportunity.Before Gridspertise, I spent 15+ years inside the Enel Group building and scaling IT capabilities — from hands-on development through enterprise architecture to leading cross-functional technology organizations.
