ABOUT ANTONIA BERELS-NAGEL

A wise man said “Smile at strangers and you just might change a life” This quotation describes very well who I am and what I value most.After completing my studies in Business Administration and North American Studies I started my career working as Research Consultant at Dr. Heimeier & Partner. I came to know diverse branches and learned to quickly assess the most important features of a position. I learned about project management and how to successfully find the right candidate. Joining umlaut I helped creating a new Active Sourcing team. I never had a great passion for tools and software. As Active Sourcing is all about understanding search engines and algorithms, learning about it was a challenge. Today, I am proud to say that I managed this challenge.At Accenture I had the pleasure of doing end-to-end Recruiting for our Corporate Functions before moving on to the area of Ventures & Acquisitions. In this position I am part of Accentures’ vast internal Post Merger Integration organisation. Our goal is to integrate our acquisitions as best as possible which means to integrate both processes and people. PMI work has a lot to do with understanding technical details, but most importantly it is about shaping culture and being creative when building solutions.What motivates me? I love the interaction with different people. I strive to support everyone I meet as best as I can because there is nothing more beautiful than seeing somebody grow. Moreover, I want to drive positive change. I feel that our world often forgets that we are all human beings who deserve respect. So my aim is to treat everybody with kindness and be open to different ways of thinking. In the end there is always that happy smile that is worth more than a million words.
