About Ann Miller

Hey, sport fans! As EVP, Global Sports Marketing at NIKE, Inc, I lead the company\'s portfolio of athlete, league, team, and federation partnerships. The job, at its core, is to echo the voice of the athlete inside NIKE and to make sure that voice is heard. When I joined NIKE, Inc, while I had no idea where the journey would take me, I was confident that NIKE was the place for me—a company formed by a coach and an athlete, in pursuit of excellence, pushing boundaries through grit, edge and irreverence. Over the years, as I progressed from Assistant General Counsel to Chief Legal Officer, I oversaw and managed a broad array of legal subject matters, from capital markets, corporate governance, and executive transitions to commercial transactions, M&A, disputes, investigations and litigation, ethics and compliance, government affairs, and social and community impact. The range of these experiences and being a part of the team that helped navigate some of the most consequential moments in the company’s recent history allowed me to truly live Nike’s maxims. These maxims resonate so deeply and drive me daily, and so do the underlying relationships that make all this possible. I build authentic relationships and trust, make difficult decisions under pressure, and am accountable for outcomes. I do all of it in service of sport, our athletes, and our NIKE teammates. Sport didn\'t just build my career. It built me. I was named NCAA Division Basketball Player of the Year at Smith College and was recently inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame. That drive to compete, the discipline it demands, and the understanding of what athletes need to feel supported is at the heart of everything I do. My job is to ensure the world\'s greatest athletes know that NIKE is in their corner, here to solve their problems and help them reach their full potential. And as a senior leader within NIKE, I am equally responsible for making sure every teammate knows their role and has opportunities to grow and advance their careers. I lead through what I call the “5 Hs”: head, heart, hustle, humility, and humor. I believe the best work happens when people feel seen, and when they do, they want to do just a little bit more in service of the athlete. Sport has never left my home either. I am a product of the power of sport, and there is nothing more important to me than giving that same opportunity to the next generation.
