ABOUT ANJANA SATHYAN
My research experience includes the development of hydrogen sulfide-releasing pro-drugs and stimuli-responsive synthetic anion transporters across liposomal vesicles, which have potential applications in cancer therapy. Additionally, I have contributed to the field by designing catalytically active, transition metal-loaded polymeric nanoparticles for activating anticancer pro-drugs of 5-FU, doxorubicin and paclitaxel. As part of the European Training Network, THERACAT, I collaborated with a team of PhD students to develop innovative cancer therapies aimed at minimizing side effects. Our work focused on enhancing nanoparticle catalytic efficiency and targeting capabilities. I am particularly excited about the recent advancements in cancer immunotherapy and am intrigued to develop new LNP formulations for targeted cancer therapies.
