Lead the newly formed Digital Ecosystem Strategy team responsible for developing and delivering a strategy to guide how the organisation harnesses the power of the Digital Tax and Social Policy Ecosystem, to build on the assets created by the Business Transformation (BT) programme. We want to make sure we’re using everything that was created during BT to continue enabling our partners in the ecosystem to become more effective in providing services to our customers. An important aspect of Inland Revenue’s strategy is to support and enable partners, providers and intermediaries in the ‘digital tax ecosystem’ to better assist customers. This work began during the Business Transformation programme, when IR collaborated with a broad mix of tax agents, accountants, bookkeepers, financial institutions and digital service providers to create better interfaces for exchanging data and processing transactions. Creating good interfaces means our customers can manage more of their tax in the systems they already operate in, like accounting packages. This makes it easier for customers, and improves their compliance.
