ABOUT ANGUS REID
With nearly 30 years of experience in onshore and offshore engineering, I have developed a strong background in technical management, field development, decarbonisation and technology development. I have been involved in the decarbonisation space for the past 8+ years acting as Costain\'s project manager in a major CCS project from Feasibility to FEED covering the onshore, offshore and the shipping import/export facilities. I have also lead a project investigating hydrogen road haulage and distribution.Acting as the project manager, I was responsible for the design of installation aids in support of a nuclear new build jetty (detailed design) and the marine works which included complex first of-a-kind subsea isolation caps (FEED) and the acoustic fish deterrent system (concept) for the seawater intakes (aka fish disco). I have led oil and gas field development studies in the North Sea and West Africa, flexible and rigid flowline FEED/Detailed Design projects, Arctic pipeline projects off the east coast of Russia and in the shallow water of the Gulf of Mexico and on 2 LNG Deep Water Port Permit projects in the US and an onshore pipeline technical lead on a gas storage project.Degree qualified from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and a Masters from NTNU Trondheim and a fellow chartership with IMarEst.
