I joined the board of directors to be a voice for LGBT youth in an organization that does outstanding work helping get kids out of homelessness. 1 in 3 homeless youth are LGBT and often it\'s a result of parents rejecting their kids for who they are. They don\'t have safe families to go back to, so the greater LGBT community supports YouthCare to make sure these kids have a safe place to grow up.
