ABOUT ANDREA P. SCHMIDT

Hello! I’m Andi :)If you’re reading this, I’m assuming you want to know which languages I speak. German, Spanish and English. Oh, and add aspiring polyglot to that list because Italian and ASL are next. Stay tuned!I was born in Miami, but my family is from Colombia, Ecuador and Germany, which means I’m #WorldwideInThe305. I’m always looking for ways to learn more about my heritage and about the world around me through books, news and travel. At Dentsu Creative, I managed multiple UX/web development and traditional OOH advertisement projects for leading clients in finance and tech. From leading daily status calls to sending weekly \'hot-sheets\' to the internal team, I saw my role as someone my team could lean on and trust when problems arose. During my time at The Agency at UF, I directed project execution and strategy for clients like Disney Advertising and the UF Astraeus Space Institute. My experience allows me to practice the communications strategy needed to manage multiple client accounts — but project management is only one of my talents. As a storyteller and writer, grammar is my top priority.(Yes, that means I’m the token resume-editor friend. You’re welcome to all my friends reading this!) AP Style is a MUST at public relations and advertising firms, so I’ve made it a habit to quadruple check my work. Whether I’m editing client materials, a friend’s resume or my novel, I know I can always improve a sentence.
