Lead new product development initiatives inclusive of idea generation and prioritization, concept design/testing, review and approval, execution, operational support and communication • Successfully launched three new COVID-19 products in 2020 to address a direct client need for additional stop loss risk protection at the height of the global pandemic • Partner with cross functional internal business units to define, manage, execute and implement pilot programs and projects of varying complexity • Lead annual stop loss state filing initiatives by preparing documentation, actively responding to objections, modifying products to remain compliant and providing status updates to leadership • Review and meet with external vendors as part of the Vendor Review Committee, execute on business agreements and communicate vendors supported to internal partners • Evaluate current product offerings and provide recommendations for enhancements to ensure maximum client value and market competitiveness • Foster strong partnerships with sales and other internal parties by providing product knowledge, education and guidance • Collaborate with Go-to-market strategy and training and development teams to review and develop marketing materials, thought leadership, product training sessions and broker/employer surveys • Identify emerging trends, stay current on market news and legislation and assess competitors’ product and service to ensure stop loss products remain relevant and competitive • Assist with managing the annual product vendor budget and creating and executing new vendor legal business agreements
