Serenas is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that no girl or woman has her life marked by gender-based violence in Brazil - a country where we are facing an epidemic of sexual and intimate partner violence against women and girls. The state is failing to protect girls and women from violence, and Serenas is committed to addressing these critical gaps in the system to ensure effective prevention and response. Through our programs, we support governments in developing anti-sexist educational policies to prevent violence and improve the quality of public services to provide survivor-centered responses; we also mobilize civil society and governments around the issue through advocacy. Since 2021, our team has impacted the lives of people across six states in the country, in partnership with local and state governments and non-profit organizations.
