Currently, designing next generation combined OCT + Fluorescence system with high speed and usability. OCT is useful for creating microstructural images for biological tissues and fluorescence imaging is useful to detect the biochemical composition within the biological tissues. This combined technique will explore potential applications for the clinicians, researcher and scientists in the field of medicine and biomedical engineering e.g. identifying high-risk plaques that may cause heart attacks, applications in cancer diagnosis, etc- Developed a MATLAB based GUI to detect Arthroplasty Radiographic migration of HIP implants for Royal Adelaide Hospital under Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Research Foundation Limited grant as a main contributor- Developed a RF system for wireless transmission of core body temperature of sheep using thermopile IR sensors and microcontroller funded by School of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, The University of Adelaide, Roseworthy Campus- Developed a prototype of an innovative, modular nurse-call patient handset with a focus on the usability for patients who have some form of a cognitive disorder. The device features a switch that is characterized by an actuator which is in the form of the deformable bladder that is compressible with the use of little force which will further operate a pressure switch thereby activating an alarm- Developed a system funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC), where a non-invasive measurement and detection system of occupant’s skin temperature is integrated into an electronic survey tablet and indoor environment monitoring system. This device is being used to analyse the relationship between skin temperature and thermal comfort/preference of older people in South Australia. This is the first thermal comfort field study in Australia that includes a smart measurement of skin temperature.
