About Allen Hakimi
Allen is the CEO and Managing Director of a 38-year old investment firm with a life science focus. Technomark invests in biotechnology and other life science companies though the co-funding of product development programs(therapeutic and medical device), specifically preclinical and clinical studies- ONLY. Prior to joining Technomark, Allen was heavily involved in operational and entrepreneurial activities,including the successful fund-raising for various drug development programs, executing licensing deals with life science companies such as Zydus, Elan, BMS, Pharmacia (now Pfizer), GSK ($283M deal -top ten deal of year 2002), and the spinning out of start-up biotechs from American universities, along with project managing preclinical and clinical programs.Allen has done business with small, medium, and large life science companies on the North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa continents, while having also lived throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. He currently is based in Greenville, SC (USA).

Technomark is an investment group with strictly a life science focus since 1987.In the early it’s venture capital fund invested in 7 companies (4 therapeutic and 3 medical device), in which it was also the founding member in all 7 companies, having successfully exited 6 of the 7 companies through acquisitions by the likes of Sosei, Takeda, and Amgen (acquired Biovex for 1B USD).Today, Technomark invests by co-funding 30-60% of the CRO direct or professional fees of the clinical trial (Phase I-IV) related for a therapeutic development program or medical device/diagnostic. For clarity we do not participate in co-funding any CMC or manufacturing - strictly clinical trials. To-date, Technomark has invested in over 18 development programs with its co-funding model, of which has successfully exited 7 (US and UK IPO, acquisitions by Wyeth (Pfizer), D-Pharm (Israel), and confidential large Pharma, and 2 to market), with a remaining 5 on-going.
