I brought elastic search to the Avion Rewards App. Also using GenAI to do some cool things. Spoiler alert: authentication feature in the works- Redesigned high-traffic flows, using SwiftUI and Figma, in collaboration with Product, Design, and QA, enabling 5M+ RBC clients to complete tasks more easily, by ultimately cutting user interaction steps by 50%- Optimized authentication screens using Swift Concurrency (MainActor, async/await), so that UI remains responsive and logic stays thread-safe, resulting in 12% faster load times and fewer deadlocks- Configured significant service calls across the app to new API endpoints with updated JSON handling, so that backend reliability improves, which means fewer failed requests, yielding a 30% drop in API error rates- Automated SwiftUI component creation via GenAI pipeline converting Jetpack Compose into SwiftUI, leveraging the fact that cross-platform ideas can be shared, leading to faster prototyping and reducing dev time by 80%.Monthly RBC volunteering, accumulated 50+ hours.
