ABOUT ALISSA FERRY

With over 13 years of public health experience in both humanitarian and development settings, I have a proven track record of designing and implementing community-centered health programmes, with a focus on the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) needs of adolescents and under-served populations, and on risk communication and community engagement (RCCE). I am a passionate advocate for reproductive justice and for the rights of people to access high quality and dignified health care, regardless of their circumstances. I believe in holistic and community-led solutions to health needs.Former co-lead of the Adolescent SRHR sub-working group at the IAWG (Inter-Agency Working Group on Reproductive Health in Crises).Former SRHR Advisor at Plan International, where I focused on SRHR in emergencies, increasing access to adolescent-responsive SRH services, safe abortion, and integrated adolescent-centred programming.Experienced trainer and workshop facilitator, having collaborated with the KIT Royal Tropical Institute and the Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies, among others.I hold a MSc in Public Health in Developing Countries from LSHTM, am fluent in English and French, and conversational in German. I am always looking for new opportunities to apply my leadership, technical, and strategic skills to support organisations working towards improving health outcomes and changing the status quo.
