ABOUT ALEXANDRA MCKAY
I’m a collaborative, community-centered leader focused on strengthening Alaska through philanthropy, partnership, and shared purpose. Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked across sectors—foundation, government, and nonprofit—to turn strategy into action and ideas into systems that endure. As President & CEO of The Alaska Community Foundation, I lead a statewide network that connects generosity with opportunity and builds resources for Alaska’s future. My work is guided by a belief that the most durable change comes when decisions are led by those closest to the community.Previous roles include executive leadership at the Rasmuson Foundation and Casey Family Programs, where I advanced large-scale initiatives in housing, behavioral health, and child welfare. Trained as an attorney, I bring both strategic and legal insight to philanthropy, with experience in board governance, organizational change, and public-private collaboration.
