I meet college students everyday, helping them build skills and character through participating in the Southwestern Advantage Summer Internship program. Students who participate in our summer internship learn how to run their own business by selling educational resources directly to families where they gain transferrable skills and get out of their comfort zone. Through this role, I recruit, train and manage students to prepare them for our summer program. I also lead speaking engagements to add value to college class and clubs on campus. Within the role of Campus Leader at FSU, I help student managers learn how to recruit, train, and manager their teams to participate in our summer program.During our summer program, not only do I run my own business selling educational products, I also oversee 15-20 other college students with their own business. This includes coordinating housing for each student, assign work locations, give daily coaching and running weekly meetings for sales training.
