About Alexander T. Almy

At Antelope, I lead FP & A for a family of private equity backed (Alpine Investors), high-growth pet brands, driving planning, reporting, and strategic analysis to support scaling operations and M&A. I work cross-functionally to improve decision-making, optimize performance, and guide investment in new products, channels, and acquisitions.Most recently before Antelope, I was at Drivepoint, where I helped dozens of consumer brands scale their businesses with data-driven insights and strategic guidance. I acted as a fractional finance resource for a number of scaling consumer brands as well as assist in converting Drivepoint sales prospects into to clients. In addition to building and maintaining a three statement financial models, we ran monthly business review calls, ad hoc analytics as well as scenario planning to support fund raises, product launches or channel expansion. Before Drivepoint, I was the FP & A Director at Bright Cellars, a venture-backed e-commerce wine subscription platform, where I was responsible for all things FP & A and strategic finance. I was also a member of a cross-functional leadership team and provided fundraising support as well as board of directors reporting and analysis.I have a strong background in corporate finance, having worked at Vanguard and Legg Mason for over seven years. I gained valuable experience in cash management and forecasting, capital deployment strategy, M&A financing, rating agency analysis, capital raises, and investor relations support. I also currently volunteer my time as a Board Trustee for Indian Creek School, my alma mater, and serve on the Finance committee and chair the Investment (Endowment) sub-committee. I hold a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in Finance. I am passionate about learning new skills and exploring new opportunities in the fields of financial planning and analysis, strategic finance, corporate development, M&A, corporate strategy, investor relations, consulting, family office, private equity, and startups.
