My current role is in the Digital Innovation Lab, Department of Quantitative Health Sciences, supporting new applications of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning in medicine.We are primarily a discovery research lab created to support development of new AI applications in research and practice. I support over 35 active clinical studies across the Enterprise, my PhD work is in Radiology and most of my projects involve medical imaging applications. Research interests include- Cancer imaging, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and pancreatic cancer (PDAC)- Image segmentation and software / workflows that support annotation- Body composition, obesity, and frailty in healthcare outcomes- Orthopedic and musculoskeletal imaging applicationsWe are an active research lab that frequently publishes, additionally, several of our algorithms are currently being implemented in clinical practice.
