ABOUT ALEXANDER KIM
I graduated University of Maryland with an Mechanical Engineering Degree in May of 2013. My post undergraduate career has been focusing on the Construction and Mechanical Services field. Currently I am a Special Projects Manager with a nationally recognized MEP Contractor. The Special Projects role is an all encompassing cradle to grave style model where we help Facilities handle day to day OpEx issues while future planning larger CapEx projects. My duties include budgeting, estimating, selling, managing, and maintaining facilities for George Washington University. I work closely with the facilities team providing any immediate assistance and solutions that may be needed to keep the campus running on a day to day basis; while also assessing and providing feedback on campus operations that could lead to future issues that need to be planned for. By having an intimate knowledge of my customers specific needs, I can help identify and plan necessary upgrades, modifications, and replacements for upcoming budget cycles. Additionally by drawing on the knowledge I have gained as a Senior Project Manager on the traditional GC style construction model, project management and execution comes as second nature; allowing me to concentrate on the customers needs in a proactive manner.
