WORK HISTORY
Coach Accelerator Manager @High Performance Sport New Zealand
Wellington, NZ
I lead an elite coach development programme for selected high performance coaches in the High Performance Sport New Zealand system. The three year professional development programme aims to develop coaches who are capable of coaching World and/or Olympic champions. The programme combines an individualised development programme with a residential component during the three years that the coaches are involved. As of May 2015, 42 coaches have been selected for the Coach Accelerator Programme, with another intake due to begin in January 2016. Coaches who are currently involved in the programme, or who have graduated from the programme, have produced world champions, world record holders, Olympic medallists, Commonwealth Games medallists, and World Cup medallists. Coaches from a range of sports are represented in the programme, including rugby, cricket, netball, rowing, rugby league, field hockey, cycling, triathlon, snowboarding, swimming, equestrian eventing, kayaking, yachting, football, and athletics.
