ABOUT ALEX KINTZER
I am a researcher, data analyst, and multi-instrumentalist from the San Francisco Bay Area. With a unique cross-disciplinary background, I have published on topics ranging from the neurobiological basis of musical surprise and pleasure to the emotional prosody in computer-generated voice. In 2023, I co-authored an article in the International Journal of Advertising regarding the power of sonic branding. I have degrees from Duke University in both Neuroscience and Music and was awarded the 2021 Henry Schuman Award for Music.Currently I work as Senior Data Analyst for Songtradr, running our Implicit Association Tests, Explicit Research and leveraging our proprietary AI tagging system to pull creative insights for our clients.
