ABOUT ALAA KALAJI
During my previous studies as a Masters in Hydraulic Engineering, I gained experience in everything related to flow, surface runoff and flooding and how they are affected by weather from an engineering perspective. This included designing bridges and dams and analysing the path of sewage in the ground. I have sufficient knowledge of water resources management. My previous Master\'s degree enabled me to learn the software skills required in hydraulic engineering, such as MATLAB, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS and SIG. My interest then shifted to infrastructure management, a crucial aspect of civil engineering projects. I pursued a Master\'s degree in Infrastructure Management at the Ostwestfalen Hochschule Lippe, focusing on deepening my knowledge of transport and water management as well as interdisciplinary topics to strengthen my management expertise. My master\'s thesis was on Building Information Modelling (BIM) in infrastructure project management. During this time I learned a lot about BIM methodologies and had the opportunity to work with different BIM tools such as Desite, BIMcollab and PM tools such as MS Project. I am currently working as a Project Engineer in the railway and transport sector.
