Would you like to minimize utility issues on your project?Al has over 40 years’ experience as a Utility Coordination Manager and Utility Damage Prevention Specialist with a variety of experience having coordinated utilities for Arizona Public Service Company, Arizona Department of Transportation, Valley Metro Light Rail, and the Sky Train people mover at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Al Field & Associates has served Arizona’s Agencies and Municipalities, Consulting Engineering firms, and Construction communities throughout the state for more than 10 years. With Al’s connections at the utility companies / owner’s reps across the state, and his knowledge of the various utility systems a project may encounter, you are assured that your project will include the best opportunity to reduce utility conflicts and relocations. Utility relocations and damages are some of the largest causes of increased project costs and delays. Our goal is to work with your team to avoid both.Al’s team supports clients specializing in Utility Coordination. He is intimately familiar with the soon to be updated ASCE Standard Guideline for the Collection and Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utility Data as well as the recently published ASCE Subsurface Utility Engineering for Municipalities which includes the Prequalification Criteria and Scope of Work Guide. He and his subcontractor, Safe Site Utility Services also provide Locating, Mapping, as well as providing Test Holes (Potholes / Subsurface Utility Engineering) services for projects of all sizes and types.He is a member of the APWA, ASCE, ASCE’s UESI, ASHE, CGA, and IRWA, and has served as a board member of the Arizona Chapter of APWA and the AZ Section of ASHE and is a member and past chair of APWA’s Utilities & Public Rights-of-Way committee, member of the Arizona Utility Coordination Council, and member of the Common Ground Alliance Best Practices Committee.
