As Director of Strategy at Henning, I lead the organization’s long-term vision to end homelessness and build pathways to lasting stability for the communities we serve. I drive strategic initiatives that expand early education through our RocketFuel program and create meaningful employment opportunities via our Reverb workforce program. My responsibilities include guiding cross-sector partnerships, aligning internal priorities with community needs, and ensuring our programs deliver measurable, equity-driven outcomes in housing, education, and economic mobility.Developing Strategic Plans: Crafting and executing long-term strategies to enhance our impact and achieve our mission of providing sustainable solutions for homelessness. This includes funding identification, braiding local, state and federal funds as well as project management. Conducting Market and Needs Analysis: Assessing current community needs, and the effectiveness of existing programs to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.Facilitating Collaboration: Ensuring cohesive efforts across various teams, shelters and homeless response systems to implement our strategic initiatives effectively.Tracking Impact and Performance: Monitoring, evaluating and reporting the outcomes of our strategies to ensure they are making a tangible difference and adjusting plans based on results and community feedback.Engaging with Stakeholders: Communicating our strategic vision and progress to donors, partners, the municipality and the community to build support and drive collective action.Driving Innovation: Exploring new approaches, partnerships, and ideas to enhance our services and better address the complex issues surrounding poverty in Anchorage. In essence, my role is to guide our strategic efforts, optimize our programs, and ensure we are making a meaningful impact.
