About Alexander Harrison
I am a proven product leader, producing results with the lens of the end user and the goals of the company. I strive for a product that users love (not just the longest feature list alignment), and seek out product areas that are not loved to incrementally improve or retire. At Cisco, I led our new cloud security for automotive initiative, delivering a vehicle platform for a major first customer (2m deployments). This platform was purpose built to expand to the market opportunities of any IOT use case (ultra low cost low COGS). When expanding into new product markets, I am able to utilize software engineering experience to develop proof of concept components in collaboration with engineering. For example, engineering creates the base API and I develop a working front end demo to add a visual manifestation of the proposed product. On the side, I also created and develop a full stack responsive PHP and MySQL Dockerized ecosystem (with some Python components) to integrate and automate support tasks and processes with Atlassian\'s JIRA and Zendesk via RESTful APIs (among others). This system significantly cuts down the steps for key level 1 support team processes from 10 to 2 steps. This has saved the support team thousands of hours and counting hours in the first two years, today) and greatly improved turnaround time by hours or even days per case with automated case handling. This project utilizes Docker virtualized infrastructure for containerized deployment leveraging Amazon AWS and RDS. I also provide essential search capabilities for sales and customer success by creating tools for accessing internal data via internal engineering APIs and surfacing this data in a human friendly way. I also have a MS and an interest in meteorology which is currently a side interest and hobby. I\'m always interested in talking about the science of weather (non-forecasting), so shoot me a line.I volunteer at a historic railroad - if you share an interest in historic train transportation, steam engines, or historic railroad restoration, we can easily lose half a meeting on this track.

I represent Google Cloud\'s deep commitment to cloud security and lead the Cloud Provider Access Controls product at Google, consisting of Access Transparency and Access Approval, and regulatory personnel controls for governments. This product sets GCP-wide requirements to ensure that your data is your data. Any time a Google admin or support user must access your data -> you have the ability to either see its details or be enabled to allow or deny the request. From the full Assured Workloads experience to a selection of core controls - Google\'s Admin Access controls are here to secure your data, and bring you GovCloud equivalent products without the separate cloud infrastructure.
