Responsible for effective leadership of 10 Team Leaders and 30 Assembly operatives plus 4 Warehouse operatives as well as agency staff • Ensuring teams’ objectives and KPIs are met within warehouse and assembly – jobs planned and delivered on time and to the expected QA standard, SOP’s written and people trained against them, risk assessments carried out, all health and safety standards kept in both departments, team briefings and tool box talks managed and delivered on time. • Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective management, training and development of my team • Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and practices are adhered to both departments • Overseeing the production processes, drawing up a production schedule to meet customer demands – making sure right amount of people works on the jobs to deliver them on time. Also from the cost perspective, making sure more effective options are considered for either permanent staff overtime or agency support. • Monitor the production processes and take appropriate action to meet the production plan. • Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs as appropriate – auditing and inspecting jobs, introduced more assessors in place to flex up and make sure jobs are checked while in progress and before released to customer. • Coordinate and implement standard operating procedure for both production and warehouse – built new processes with visual help, pictures and thing people should avoid doing, watch out for if common to happen as guid. • Responsible for reducing cost per dispenser to a minimum – planning staffing for all machines, number of agency staff v permanent staff. Checking if overtime required. Also making sure people work to required targets and deliver to the expected plan in first place. Making sure machinery works. Negotiating prices with hauliers.
