Develop soft goods details of Purple’s innovative, home comfort products and help design or with new designs ideas.• Work alongside various members of the Purple Innovations team of industrial designers, sewing technicians, quality specialists, product and merchandising gurus, and others• Develop original Purple products according to design intent as directed from the Industrial Design team• Collaborate with product managers, product and merchandising, supply chain, and other teams to brainstorm ideas and solve product development challenges• Participate in regular brainstorming sessions and provide feedback on individual projects• Craft 2D and 3D visuals, models, and presentations to communicate ideas and concepts• Create technical drawings, renderings, and accurate tech pack assets to clearly communicate manufacturing specifications and product details• Provide support in sewing and assembling prototypes for user testing and samples for manufacturers• Sew items using nontraditional or unusual methods for innovative, out-of-the-box solutions when needed• Share recommendations for best product performance and manufacturability• Ensure all product development processes are done a timely manner to meet deadlines• Help maintain and organize textiles, trims, threads, product sample library, and other product development materials, both tangible and digital assets
