ABOUT ADAM AYRES
I’m a Principal Software Engineer specializing in UI architecture, scalable SaaS platforms, and frontend engineering leadership. With over two decades of experience building enterprise-grade web applications, I’ve led transformative initiatives at scale, from multi-year platform migrations to integrating AI-driven features into complex products. At Khoros, a leader in digital customer engagement and community platforms, I led the multi-year re-platforming of our frontend ecosystem, guiding 80+ developers in modernizing our UI stack with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL. This included architecting and introducing a unified design language system and micro frontend architecture, enabling independent, scalable deployments across product surfaces while improving team autonomy and delivery speed.I’ve driven measurable improvements to Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS), SEO performance, and accessibility, achieving WCAG 2.1 AA compliance platform-wide. I’m also passionate about advancing SaaS platforms through the integration of AI-powered features, recently introducing automated text localization and thread summarization tools to enhance community engagement and moderation.I thrive in complex, high-scale environments, building resilient, performant frontend architectures that serve millions of users, while mentoring teams, championing best practices in component-driven development, and evolving platform strategy.I am committed to technical excellence and strategic execution. My work has included responsive web redesigns, horizontal scaling, infrastructure improvements, and frontend platform modernization. All geared toward delivering lasting value to both customers and business stakeholders.
