Collaborate and manage forest service and interagency team members, engagement in bilateral and multilateral agreements with foreign governments to advance sustainable forest management.• Develop position papers and strategic proposals to support U.S. negotiations in many international fora, including UN FAO, UN Forum on Forests, International Tropical Timber Organization, APEC, G7, G20, IUCN World Conservation Congress.• Lead coordination of high-level interagency delegations, including to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization. Including writing speeches, drafting position papers, acting as a technical expert in negotiations, and advising the Chief of the U.S. Forest Service on matters of policy during bilateral and multilateral meetings.• Co-led major APEC Expert Group on Illegal Logging and Associated Trade project addressing illegal logging and advancing legal timber trade. Project included two international workshops, survey of international public and private organizations, development of a compendium of resources, and publication of a project report.• Conduct research and analysis on international policies, providing recommendations for U.S. representation in global forums.
