Board member of the Big Santa Anita Canyon Permittee\'s Association, BSACPA, that helps raise awareness of concerns and needs of a 50+ member association of cabin owners that coordinate with multiple government agencies and several private businesses to improve our experience as neighbors and fellow stewards of a century old tradition in Southern California. As a permit holder from the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, i have come to enjoy a really unique and fun part of the Angeles National Forest near our home in Big Santa Anita Canyon. We have a group of cabin permit users that own recreational cabins in an area that requires walking 1+ mile to your cabin, living mainly off grid, and working with nature and the elements as we enjoy our rustic cabins in the woods. In my case, we have stone cabin in a large clearing with one main room and a large fireplace. Working with our fellow cabin owners and friends, we hold regular meetings, share tips and guidance, communicate with the government groups and agencies to address questions and needs of our neighbors.
