About Antonio Buehler

I\'ve spent my career working on problems that people felt were too difficult to tackle. What I found along the way was that the institutions we\'ve built to develop people-schools, financial systems, community structures-often do the opposite of what they promise.So I started building alternatives.At Abrome, I created a learning space where young people could thrive-not by performing for adults and institutions, but by pursuing deep, self-directed, meaningful work. We grew a community of learners and families who wanted something different and better.Before that, I founded Peaceful Streets Project, a nationally recognized grassroots organization focused on community accountability and civil rights education.Earlier in my career I worked in investment banking and restructuring (Houlihan Lokey) and ran a private equity search fund (Trophy Point Capital), so I understand capital markets, deal flow, and how to structure organizations that can scale.Before that, I served as a Ranger-qualified Army officer, including a combat deployment to Baghdad where I was responsible for the logistics of over soldiers and awarded the Bronze Star-and where I first learned that the gap between how institutions operate and how they could operate is often enormous.I\'m currently exploring what\'s next, and I\'m most interested in collaborating with people who believe that how we treat each other, how we learn, and how we build organizations is inseparable from the outcomes we achieve-not opposed to them.If you\'re building something that takes people seriously, I\'d love to talk.
