Hi, I’m Azra! I’m a GIS professional with a passion for geospatial technology and its real-world applications. My journey started with a background in geography, and over the years, I’ve transitioned from GIS analysis to project leadership.Currently, I lead a team of GIS analysts at Chronicle Cemetery Software, where we work on mapping and spatial data solutions to improve digital cemetery management. I’ve had the opportunity to streamline workflows, optimize data processes, and enhance project efficiency—reducing delivery time from 8 weeks to just 2.To deepen my expertise, I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in GIS in Edinburgh, where I’m exploring advanced spatial analysis, data visualization, and geospatial solutions. My dissertation focuses on applying GIS technology within the cemetery management industry, bridging my academic research with my professional experience.Before this, I worked in GIS roles across different sectors, including digital mapping at Grab Indonesia and urban planning with the Jakarta Provincial Government. Whether it’s managing large datasets, integrating GIS into SaaS platforms, or refining spatial data for better decision-making, I enjoy the challenge of making maps more meaningful.I’m always keen to learn, collaborate, and explore new opportunities in GIS and project management.
