Key Job Responsibilities- Investigate and recommend optimal logistics solutions considering price and time to market requirements. Prepare rate quotes for standard, rush and special deliveries- Coordinate and communicate effectively with external parties to ensure timely shipment of product- Monitor deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintain accurate logs of transportation of shipments- Create, prepare and organize documents and reports that pertain to imported product purchase transactions- Calculate weights and sizes to optimize ocean shipments- Track and trace shipments to validate milestones- Correctly classify new product in the HTS database- Generate weekly reports and lead status meetings with stakeholders- Liaise and communicate effectively with internal staff including but not limited to: Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service and Finance- Efficiently solve problems related to sales, finance & transportation of goods shipped internationally.Financial Responsibilities- Review & verify charges on vendor’s commercial invoices against purchase orders- Review & verify all invoices for logistics costs including but not limited to: brokerage, ocean freight, duty, etc- Calculate landed loads- Ensure proper HTS classification and 7501 entry accuracy- Record logistics expenses for every shipment- Ensure that logistics costs are consistently managed and allocated correctly before billing orders- Review monthly statement of accounts for all import logistics partners- Freight invoice review and distribution for costing.Secondary Job Responsibilities- Research and close aged open import purchase orders- Review actual program load to loads calculated on Cost Models to identify variances- Ad hoc tasks and analysis as required by the business- Backup Domestics Logistics Coordinator as necessary
