ABOUT ZOKHA BUTT

A US & Global Medical Affairs Specialist at Intercept Pharmaceuticals/Alfasigma, with a concentration in the Field Medical/Medical Science Liaison (MSL) track for the New York and New England territories. With a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), MBA in Healthcare Management (in progress), and a B.S. in Biology, I bridge clinical expertise with strategic business insight to advance patient outcomes in rare diseases with a experience in the gastroenterology and hepatology space. My experience spans 40+ medical deliverables, 5+ national congresses, and outreach to 100+ thought leaders, with ongoing engagement across ~150 territory KOLs across New York State. I have also provided interim MSL support and cross-coverage across the Northeast, California, Texas and Florida, strengthening my ability to adapt quickly to diverse regional needs while building trusted HCP relationships. I bring a strong academic and research foundation, having presented posters at national conferences and presentations at international conferences, contributed to a manuscripts under development for publication in diverse online journals, and experience having served as Adjunct Faculty at Rutgers University.Beyond fellowship, I am passionate about leadership, mentorship, and education—from co-leading Professional Development Day programming for 300+ fellows nationwide to being a preceptor for APPE pharmacy students and speaking on various panels at educational intuitions and national conferences. My goal is to continue building trusted scientific partnerships and contribute to the evolving treatment landscape through impactful Medical Affairs leadership.I am eager to connect to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration.
