Hi! I’m Zayd, a freshman at the University of South Carolina Honors College!As a 7 year B.S./M.D. student, I’m currently interested in studying the intersection of medicine and policy that improve access to healthcare for underserved SC communities. At the moment, I’ve dedicated my time to learning and experiencing how healthcare systems work so I can be part of creating solutions that meet the needs of our communities.In the future, I hope to pursue a joint medical and legislative career where empathy and individualized patient care are the priority of patient treatment.
