ABOUT ZACK BURGIN
I am a senior nonprofit director with over 17 years of experience in campaign and social justice/advocacy work. As a Co-Director of State Capacity Building at State Voices, I design and manage programming that builds and sustains core organizational capacity for our affiliate and emerging states. This includes facilitating peer-to-peer learning and coordination, providing network training, and overseeing our capacity grants program, which distributed more than 5.6M to our states and partners in 2022. I am an organizer by trade with a passion for movement building and collective impact. Before joining State Voices, I was the founding executive director of the Nebraska Civic Engagement Table, where I led the state\'s first-ever coordinated nonpartisan civic engagement campaign, increasing the direct voter contact output of Nebraska nonprofits by 1,500% over four years. I also implemented a four-day workweek to give our team the flexibility and time to live full lives outside of work. I enjoy being an enthusiastic manager and strategist who loves a good spreadsheet and a challenging problem.
