Lead a security engineering organization comprised of ~22 engineers across 3 teams that is responsible for IAM, data and cloud security, vulnerability management, and incident response. Prioritize opportunities that concurrently improve security posture, enhance developer productivity, and support growth of the wider business- Hire 3 managers and 12+ engineers. Increase project capacity by ~3x while also shifting security earlier in the SDLC- Transform security practice via process and culture. Leverage five Tech Leads to identify and prioritize systemic risk. Utilize this deep context to build alignment around higher standards of security excellence- Build deep, cross-functional alliances as an agent of change. Identify systemic security risks in internal systems owned by other organizations. Negotiate staffing and prioritization with diverse stakeholders to manage these risks- Manage/negotiate vendor relationships across the lifecycle: build/buy analyses, PoC integrations, MVP, renewals- Lead incident response and train others on how to do the same, with routine experience engaging at the CxO level- Elevate change management, user access, and the processes supporting them. Increase audited groups from 4 to 180.
