ABOUT ZACHERY AMBROSE
I’m very excited to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Program Manager at Sense! More updates to come as I dive in!Previously, I was a Senior Program Manager with Franklin Energy based out of the Chicago area, where I had oversight of the collaborative residential Home Energy Assessment Program jointly offered by electric utility ComEd, and gas utilities Nicor Gas, Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas. The program currently serves roughly customers annually throughout the Greater Chicago area with both in-person and virtual assessment offerings. In my role I was responsible for overall program administration and oversight, including budgets, KPIs, reporting, utility management, marketing coordination and an implementation team of 40+ staff members. I also provided support to Franklin\'s Services team in program proposals and start-up activities.I came to Franklin Energy with 7 years experience in residential energy efficiency program implementation (existing homes and new construction), where I also played a large company support role in program proposal development, technology refinement, outreach initiatives and multiple program startups. Before energy efficiency program management, I was the Sustainability Specialist for Allegheny County, in Southwestern Pennsylvania, where I accepted a full-time position at the County after starting my work with local government as their Student Conservation Association (SCA) Green Cities Fellow. In this position, I coordinated multiple internal sustainability initiatives, involving County utility usage and employee engagement with 18 departments and employees. Within the community, I also represented the County in a number of programs focused on regional sustainability efforts. I received my BA in Global Studies, Environmental Politics from Arizona State University in 2010, and a MS in Environmental Studies as a Graduate Assistant with Point Park University in 2014. I have a strong leadership background, and am an excellent problem solver with the ability to manage tasks creatively and effectively. I also love traveling and learning about different cultures. In the past, I spent time backpacking independently in Western Europe, and working on multiple campus sustainability projects through an internship at CQUniversity in Rockhampton, Australia.
