ABOUT ZACHARY K.
I am passionate about connecting, resourcing and creating sustainable partnerships with public schools and corporations. We need to bridge the gap of opportunities between our district and community work force.Working with students, families, colleagues and community partners has been an essential component of my job these last few years. I\'ve been able to elevate our partnerships from a campus-based organization to a district organization within 10 different campuses. We\'ve been able to partner with CapitalOne Bank to provide Job Site and Job Shadow Visits at a district level but at a campus level, we\'ve established a mentoring program unlike any other in the district. Recently, we\'ve been working with Vista Equity Partners to establish a district-wide effort to utilize their portfolio of companies to expose our students to all of the different jobs, requirements, experiences and what it would take for them to achieve their goals in technology, software support, clerical and administration. We\'ve also been able to highlight and work with the Central Texas Food Bank in hopes that our students can see different fields of opportunities in the non-profit sector. The best part of my job and the one that I love most is meeting community organizations that are willing to partner with not only our campus but throughout the district. I enjoy engaging, showcasing and sharing stories of our students and their potential and align it to an organizations goals. The way to propel our students forward is to leverage our community. The only ability to move our district, city and state is to bridge the gap of support, develop sustainable programming partners in the school and awarding our organizations with amazing accomplishments from our students. There is so much here to be celebrated. We can move the needle forward on so many different levels. Every organization I talk to, I celebrate the \"why\" of what I do, we do and you do. How can I help you support us?
