I am a licensed mechanical engineer and MBA with 17 years of experience across hyperscale data centers, healthcare, and life sciences. I have worked at the scale of 25 MW to 320 MW campuses and spent a lot of time thinking about a question that does not get asked enough in this industry. How do the decisions you make early in design actually affect the long term operating economics of a facility, and how do those economics shape the financing and contracts that make a project viable?Most engineers never sit in that conversation. I am trying to change that.I have a particular interest in how sustainable design choices around thermal storage, heat recovery, and efficient cooling create better financing outcomes for owners and better contractual certainty for hyperscale tenants.
