ABOUT ZACH FINI
I am a motivated and detail-oriented 3L pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at Rutgers Law School where I also serve as President of the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society (EASLS). My competitive nature enabled me to succeed as a walk-on college football player and an Electronic Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. After flying for 10 years on active duty, I shifted to the Naval Reserves where I still fly and instruct young Naval Aviators, while simultaneously pursuing a law degree as a new objective. I excel under pressure and I always welcome new challenges. This past year, I gained valuable transactional and litigation experience with Major League Baseball (MLB) and the National Football League Management Council (NFLMC). At MLB I worked on a variety of sponsorship and advertising deals with top industry partners, and had the opportunity to work alongside experts in various departments ranging from Business and Technology to Baseball Operations. With the NFLMC I researched and prepared arguments for various NFL arbitration hearings, including player and team grievances. In addition to my MLB and NFL experience, I have been a law clerk at Kahn Media Law (KML) since May 2023. KML is a New Jersey-based entertainment law firm that provides legal services to clients throughout the country. In my time with the firm, I have gained valuable experience in trademark litigation, and I have become an expert in trademark research and registration. My unique background, leadership experience, and willingness to take on a challenge will make me a competitive candidate in any environment.
