Currently building a 90K+ sqft hospital, complete with Medical Office Building and Helistop/Helipad, all equipped for Level 2 emergency/trauma care. My responsibilities include tracking time and materials, coordinating with other trades, quality control, onboarding and training team members, enforcing safety standards, assisting with projections for procurement and staffing levels, pulling pemits, functioning as the jobsite translator (English-Spanish) for our trade, performing terminations for critical and life safety systems (i.e. smoke curtains, elevator controls, motors, and cab lighting, fire/smoke dampers and alarms), low-voltage/data oversight, etc.My crew has averaged between 5 to 10 people, yet we have exceeded production targets in spite of constraints due to material shortages, procurement lead times, trade damage, rework, and production obstacles (i.e. work areas sealed off or blocked due to hot work, heavy equipment left keyless/inoperable, or material storage). i have been leading eveything from the \"dirt work\" to overhead rough-in to in-wall to wire pulls to terminations and device installations/testing.We have had as little as a dozen crew members to over 100, accounting for up to a third or half of the site\'s workforce during peak production. As most of our team members almost exclusively speak Spanish only, it has fast-tracked me into a key role. I\'m currently pursuing my ICC certification to increase our QC/QA efforts. I am also testing and training for the Master Electrician/Electrical Contractor Class II/Unrestricted license. Eldeco has excellent training in-house and via our parent company, Comfort Systems, which I am digging into as well.My plans are to be a Superintendent within 10 years, and possibly pivot to Project Manager and/or Estimator/Sales or QC/QA. I am confident with my background in Lean and Six Sigma, as well as orher disciplines, I can and will continue to drive value and excellence for our organization.
