ABOUT YINON RAVIV
Throughout my career, I’ve excelled at ramping up quickly and delivering high-quality work products on short-term contracts with defined end-dates. My two superpowers are writing well in high velocity, high complexity, high stakes environments and deeply understanding audiences at a rapid pace. I’ve previously managed internal communications for Google’s wider UX team (product portfolio includes Search, Maps, Payments, Assistant, and Travel) and later Search UX, ghostwriting for SVP, VPs, and directors. Whether it’s helping the product strategy come to life or helping executives’ voices shine through their personal brands, I bring my PR background to all the internal comms challenges and opportunities. In a previous life I was all external communications, starting off my career on the PR team for Check Point Software and later managing product communications for Facebook Reels, Live, and creator monetization at Meta. I’ve dabbled in content marketing and copywriting, at Citi Ventures and Planful. The throughline running throughout my career is writing. If the role requires a lot of writing, then I’m well-positioned to leave a positive impact. I’ve written newsletters, blog posts, speeches, social media copy, ad copy, product copy, sales enablement materials, product marketing documents, positioning/messaging documents, mission statements/values/vision/charters, and just about everything else under the sun. That’s how I’ve succeeded across internal, external, product, corporate, executive, and marketing communications roles in industries ranging from cybersecurity, finance, consumer tech, and social media… writing to audiences spanning from traditional media, creators, consumers, sales prospects, employees, executives, partners, analysts, and researchers in all kinds of voices.I thrive when I’m able to flex my creativity. Whether it’s using sports metaphors to explain the latest malware variants or financial planning products, writing a product strategy update to employees using Ted Lasso references, or finding just the right meme to get a reporter’s attention… work doesn’t feel like work when I’m pushed to think out of the box. In my free time, I help manage the highest-traffic fan blog for my favorite NFL team, the San Francisco 49ers, at Vox Media\'s Niners Nation. My parents have very high expectations of my birthday and Mother’s Day cards.
